Julianne Story, J.D.

Julianne Story is a Partner with the firm Husch Blackwell LLP, located in the Kansas City, Mo., office. Julianne provides strategic counsel to clients navigating the ever-changing landscape of labor and employment law.  She believes employers can often avoid problems by being proactive.

Story offers guidance on laws involving harassment, discrimination, and retaliation; advises on leave issues under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA); and counsels on a variety of compliance issues, including under the National Labor Relations Act and wage and hour laws.

With a practice that focuses on clients in the Healthcare industry, Story knows that employment disputes distract clients from fulfilling the mission of their business – providing excellent care and services to their patients and others.  She also drafts and litigates employment agreements and restrictive covenants and regularly conducts human resources audits and training to ensure effective human resource practices.

Story also has significant experience in investigating all types of workplace misconduct and advises clients on strategies to minimize risk.
